My first collection of poetry, this book has been in the works in one form or another for years. After initially working toward traditional publishing, I decided in early 2025 to self-publish, using my own artwork for the cover and completing the layout and design myself.

Fragile Things is a collection of poetry that explores joy, hope, love, life, and loss. I wrote these poems as a way to navigate midlife and the deaths of my parents and my fur babies and as a way to come to grips with a career of life and death decisions.

This book is a baring of my soul, and putting it into the world is a vulnerable feeling that leaves me wondering why, but the why is you. As far as I can tell, the ultimate purpose of this life is love and the experience of life itself and how we share those things. My hope with this collection is that as you read through its pages, you feel seen and find them to be a salve for your invisible wounds.
